Meet Dr. Andrew Pruszynski, one of our team members for Western kNOw-PAIN. He is an associate professor in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Western and the Canada Research Chair in Sensorimotor Neuroscience. His research investigates neural control of reaching, grasping and object manipulation in humans and non-human primates, with a core interest related to hand use following peripheral nerve injury where pain is a major determinant of positive outcomes. His work involves neurophysiological studies at various levels of the nervous system, targeted modeling efforts, behavioral and psychophysical studies, and patient work.
